Arun Energy Limited was established in 1987. The company provides a range of energy efficiency services to the building industry and currently employs two energy assessors who are registered under the National Home Energy Rating Accreditation Scheme. Arun Energy has over 15 years experience in providing energy ratings and energy efficiency services. We have carried out hundreds of full energy ratings on new and existing buildings as well as stock profiles of thousands of properties for Housing Associations. Services have included: Þ SAP, NHER and SBEM energy ratings Þ EPCs for all new buildings plus existing domestic buildings Þ U-value calculations Þ Condensation Risk Analyses Þ Advice on compliance with Section 6 of the Building Regs for domestic and non-domestic buildings Þ Carbon emission calculations & Section 6 Compliance Certificates in support of building warrant applications Þ Carbon emission calculations in support of planning applications (PAN 84 and SFF 6) Þ Identifying cost effective improvement options Þ Advice and running costs for different heating systems and controls Þ Heat loss calculations for heat pump sizing Þ Estimates of domestic boiler sizing Þ Stock profiling for housing associations Þ Technical Support Helpline to Highland Council Building Control Dept. on Section 6 compliance Þ Customer satisfaction surveys on behalf of the Scottish Executive for their Central Heating Programme. Þ Training courses on energy efficiency Þ Seminars on Section 6 of the Scottish Building Regulations Energy Assessors Mike Clark has been a NHER Registered Energy Assessor since 1994 (No. 4004) and has over 30 years experience of construction projects in the oil industry and in the construction industry. Warren Findlay has been a NHER Registered Energy Assessor since 1996 (No. 5861). He has over 30 years experience as a Loss Adjuster investigating insurance claims relating to domestic and commercial buildings. Software We currently use the BRE-approved NHER software (Plan Assessor, Evaluator, Surveyor 3 and RDSAP programmes) plus BRE U-Value Calculator, BRE ICond Condensation Analysis and iSBEM. NHER Assessors are authorised by Government to issue SAP ratings on quality assured certificates. Quality Assurance NHER Assessors are quality assured as part of the NHER ISO 9001 scheme. |
